Reading want to take Stoke City defender Ibrahima Sonko back on loan after Ivar Ingimarsson was ruled out for the rest of the season following a knee operation.
Sonko played 136 games for Reading before a £2million move to Stoke last summer but has asked to go out on loan after being restricted to six Premier League starts for the Potters.
