Reading are desperate to hang onto Everton target Stephen Hunt beyond the January market.

Royals director of football Nick Hammond said Stephen might be tempted to stay after being united with his brother, Noel.

Hammond added: "Stephen's attitude and application has been first class. He has given so much.

"I think it is a real boost for him to play with his brother, who has been a revelation."
