Reading are chasing Sunderland wing-back Kieran Richardson.

The Sunday Sun says Richardson has played left-back for much of the current campaign but he prefers to operate in midfield and could be on his way out of Wearside in the summer.

Newly-promoted Reading are understood to have him in their sights.
