Reading defender Hector wants Aberdeen return

Michael Hector admits he would love to return to Aberdeen for the second half of the 2013/14 season after his loan spell expired.

The 21-year old Reading defender played 20 times for the Dons in his initial six-month loan and loved his time at Pittodrie so much that he is seeking another spell in Scotland.

"It could be a very good season for Aberdeen. We are still in both cups and second in the league," he told the Daily Record.

"We can keep that going and maybe win trophies.

"I don't want to miss out on playing in a League Cup semi-final. I will be disappointed if I am not part of it, but it is not down to me. Nigel Adkins is a strict guy so I will have to ask him nicely.

"My team-mates, the fans and the staff at Aberdeen have been amazing to me. It's crazy. Even the staff at Aberdeen airport were wishing me all the best and to have a safe trip."
