Reading coach Wally Downes has slammed Chelsea striker Claudio Pizarro for his role in Kalifa Cisse's dismissal last night.

He told the Evening Post: "He was just rolling around on the floor. He (Cisse) pulled out at the last minute but there is such a reaction from the player.

"He does a backflip, then limps around but comes back on and is perfectly all right. The referee just reacted to what the player did.

"If he didn't roll around Cisse wouldn't have been sent off, but we should have been awarded a foul seconds earlier.

"You have to have 11 men playing well all the time to stand a chance against Chelsea."
