Reading are believed to be closing in on former Southampton manager Nigel Adkins as their new boss.
The Royals sacked Brian McDermott recently and have been on the lookout for his replacement with the likes of Gus Poyet, Paolo Di Canio and Roberto Di Matteo all linked with the role.
But recent reports suggest that Adkins, who was removed from his job at St Mary's in January, could take over for the remainder of the season prior to the weekend's clash with Arsenal.
