Reading hope to beat Premier League clubs for Malmo fullback Miiko Albornoz.
The Daily Star Sunday says Reading boss Nigel Adkins is set to complete a knockdown £1m deal for Albornoz, 23, in next month's window.
Manchester City, Everton and Aston Villa had all been credited with an interest in the player.
