Reading skipper Jobi McAnuff admits they can't afford to dwell on their winless start to the season.
Royals prop up the table on just one point from four games following their 1-0 defeat at West Brom.
McAnuff said: "It's tough to take, but we have to dust ourselves down.
"There's no point feeling sorry for ourselves. It's a tough league and we have to be better and really step up to the mark.
"No one said it would be easy. We need to get on with it and go and get some points, they won't just land on our laps."
