Reading boss Brendan Rodgers is prepared to sell Andre Bikey to Burnley.

Bikey could move for around £2.8million, a figure close to the player's release clause of £3million.

Rogers does not want to sell but has confessed that he faces a struggle to keep a player of Bikey's calibre, with the Cameroon international eyeing a place in the World Cup next year.

Rogers said: "He has many competitors in the Cameroon squad, who he may feel will be in front of him unless he's playing at the highest level.

"This is a World Cup year, those in the international reckoning will feel that they have to be playing at the very highest level to have a chance to go to a World Cup."
