Brian McDermott is determined to bring new players into his Reading squad this winter.
The Royals are struggling in second bottom place on the Premier League table and McDermott is well aware he needs to strengthen if he wants to avoid being instantly relegated following their Championship triumph last season.
"We are always looking for new players, that is part of the job really as a manager," McDermott told talkSPORT.
"Our scouting system is always trying to find players but we work with the players we have got and we don't talk about the players we haven't got.
"We will see what happens in January."
