Reading boss Brian McDermott is delighted with the return to form of Pavel Pogrebnyak.

McDermott ­believes Pogrebnyak could be the most ruthless finisher in the division, even though he has only scored five times.

He said: "We are trying to create chances for him, because we know that if we do create chances, then he scores. He worked his socks off.

"It would be an interesting stat to see who has got the most goals per shots in this league."
