Reading boss Brian McDermott admits he expects to sell Shane Long.
Long is wanted by a string of clubs including West Bromwich Albion, West Ham United and Leicester City and is poised to leave before the transfer window closes.
McDermott said: "We've got a decent squad and I don't want to lose Shane but in my opinion he deserves to be playing in the Premier League.
"Someone will come for Shane from the Premier League at some point. He is a hero here, up there with Kevin Doyle.
"The fans appreciate that he has given everything and talked about how much Reading means to him."
