Reading boss Coppell: Tougher avoiding drop than Chelsea reaching top four

Boss Steve Coppell reckons avoiding relegation with Reading would be a bigger achievement than Chelsea qualifying for the Champions League.

But Coppell has backed his players to avoid the drop - and says if they achieve that goal they will have performed better than the teams who finish third and fourth.

"For a team like us if we finish fourth, fifth, sixth from bottom it is a better achievement than Arsenal, Chelsea or Manchester United finishing third in the Premier League.

"We are making history whatever happens. We have never been here before. But I maintain a blind faith in my players. They are capable of adapting to anything I throw at them and of putting themselves in a better position."
