Reading boss Steve Coppell is ready to go to war with national federations, says midfielder James Harper.
Coppell called for friendlies games to be scrapped last month after England defender Nicky Shorey was injured after being made to stay on in the 2-1 defeat to Germany.
The former England midfielder also labelled the games 'Mickey Mouse'.
Reading vice-captain Harper revealed: "I think for friendly games players will not be going in the future. I think that will stop, the gaffer has hinted that."
