Reading boss Steve Coppell is determined to keep Everton and Sunderland target Stephen Hunt.

"There's an awful lot of rubbish at this time of year," said Coppell in the Reading Chronicle. "Every morning there are half-a-dozen people I'm told we're signing.

"I must admit I can understand quite a few people wanting him. He's been terrific this year, a real bundle of energy. And not just energy, but top skill.

"He's been playing out on the right and good players can play anywhere."
