Reading boss Steve Coppell is happy to have finally sold fullback Nicky Shorey to Aston Villa.

He said: "I don't want a player who thinks he should be playing somewhere else.

"I want players who are fully committed to getting Reading back in the Premier League.

"Eighty per cent of a top player is not as good as a lesser player."
