Reading boss Steve Coppell was delighted with Kalifa Cisse's performance at centre-half in Saturday's defeat to Manchester United.
"I struggled to find the line-up and a team I felt comfortable with today and in the end I thought 'sod it, let's attack them'," said Coppell. "The best way of defending is trying to attack. It leaves you more vulnerable, it makes demands, people have more responsibility defensively.
"People make their reputations in games like this. It could be Cisse has not only found his position but a growing reputation."
