After his goal in Reading's win over Liverpool, Coppell told Reading World: "He's more renowned as a holding midfielder, but he's shown he's more than capable of scoring.
"I thought he was going to slot it with his right foot. I think the keeper anticipated that as well.
"To finish on his left like that was a great credit to James.
"Things have not always gone smoothly for him this season, sometimes he gets mumblings thrown at him.
"But with eleven James Harpers you wouldn't go far wrong."
