He said: "He has progressed thanks to the benefit of playing every week. He is the kind of player a lot of teams try to find. He is a target man yet he is skilful on the deck.
"In the last couple of years he has only played half-seasons so now he has to prove to himself and everyone that he is capable of sustaining a level of form and goals over the course of a 30-odd-game season. If so an England cap could even follow."
