Reading boss Nigel Adkins is reluctant to use loan talent as he endeavours to win promotion at ChampionshipReading. Adkins is, however, aware of the need to maintain stability and will not bring players in for the sake of it.

Adkins told the Reading Post: "If we're going to get a loan in it would have to be a top, top player.

"If it would enhance the group, then that would be beneficial.

"But as a whole you try to deal with the players you've got unless something pops up and you've got a big injury problem and a youngster is not available to cover. Then you might have to dip into it."
