Top scorer Gylfi Sigurdsson has signed a new three-year contract to stay with Reading. The Icelandic midfielder enjoyed a fantastic first full season for the Royals last year, scoring 20 times, and the 20-year-old had been linked with a move to a host of Premier League clubs.
Sigurdsson told the club's official website: "This is very good news for me. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else and not play, or just sit on the bench.
"I want to play every Saturday and Reading is the right place for me to do that."
