Reading are attempting to tie up a deal for Hull City midfielder Robert Koren.

The Daily Mail says the 31-year-old Slovenia captain is available to English clubs at a cut-price fee due to a clause in his contract that allows him to go for a fee understood to be around £500,000.

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson knows Koren well and is keen to re-sign him to help get Leicester into the top flight this season.

Reading like Koren also but have other priorities with a defensive midfielder and the likes of Danny Guthrie ahead of him in their thinking.
