Manchester United are set to miss out on Nottingham Forest teen Matthew Bondswell.
The Daily Mail says United were leading the race for the 16-year-old, who has been rated as one of the best young defenders in the world.
Bondswell is a regular for Forest's Under-18s and he has also appeared at international level for his age group.
Southampton and Liverpool had also been involved in the transfer race but United were believed to be the No.1 destination.
However, RB Leipzig are now leading the charge for the youngster.
The Bundesliga outfit have recently signed Tottenham head of recruitment Paul Mitchell.
