RB Leipzig have ended speculation Naby Keita could join Liverpool this month.
The Guinean midfielder is due to sign with the Reds at the end of the season after the clubs agreed on a £66.4m deal in August.
The condition of the transfer was that Keita would remain in Germany for one more season while the club competed in the Champions League for the first time.
Leipzig has since been knocked out of the competition, and reports in Germany over the weekend stated the 22-year-old was close to making an immediate switch to Liverpool.
However, Leipzig have no definitively stated, via Twitter, that Keita would not leave until the end of this season.
