RB Leipzig have moved to secure Dayot Upamecano to a new deal.
BILD says RBL are eager to tie down the French youngster amid fresh interest from Liverpool.
The Premier League side have already done business with the Bundesliga outfit as Naby Keita will move to Anfield next summer.
Upamecano, 18, moved to RB Liepzig from sister club Salzburg in January on a four-year deal and has already established himself as one Europe's hottest properties.
Liverpool are monitoring his situation, however French youngster has been offered a lucrative new long-term deal with Liepzig to ward off any potential suitors.
The new deal will also include buy-out clause of £88million to demonstrate how determined the Bundesliga side are to hold on to their prize asset.
