RB Leipzig chief Ralf Rangnick concedes their chances of signing Benfica whizkid Umaro Embalo are diminishing.
It's emerged this week that Manchester United are on the brink of a €20m deal for 16 year-old Embalo. Kicker says the demands of agent Catio Balde saw RBL go cold on a deal.
Rangnick stated: "There was no alternative for us but to stop the negotiations, because we do not do things that do not conform to regulations."
It's suggested Balde was insisting on a broker's fee, though such terms can only be offered for players of senior age.
On trying again this summer, Rangnick added: "I cannot answer the question with a complete no, but it would only be possible if the reason why it did not work now, from the the other side, is fixed."
