Rayo Vallecano left-back Jose Manuel Casado, 25, is on Fulham boss Martin Jol's radar.
He has been a revelation in La Liga this season, but Rayo have money problems and, with his deal expiring at the end of the season, they could be forced to sell in January.
Sporting Lisbon, Atletico Madrid and Villarreal also want the defender.
