Raul Garcia is delighted with the way his Atletico Madrid career has kicked off.

The former Osasuna midfielder has been an ever-present for Atletico this season and said: "I didn't come here to sit at home or watch games from the bench. I'm here because I want to be successful and to play as many minutes as possible. Every Sunday the coach decides who will play and if I'm selected, then it means I am doing well."

On his defensive midfield role, Raul added: "The coach is the one who decides who should play where. Of course, I'd like to have the chance to score goals, but for now my job is to sit further back and I'm satisfied with that."
