El Mundo Deportivo says the Real captain wants to extend his current deal from 2010 to 2012 and his agent has already approached club officials about opening negotiations.

Gines Carvajal has spoken with Real president Ramon Calderon about a new deal for Raul and all indications are that the forward will be granted a fresh agreement in order for him to close his career at Madrid.

Raul is currently on over £4 million-a-year and the new deal would see his salary cut by 50 per cent in the final two years.
