Rasmussen leaves Celtic for Denmark return

Celtic striker Morten Rasmussen has returned to his native Denmark, signing a four-year deal with FC Midtjylland, reports the Hoops official website. The 27-year old striker moved to Scotland in January 2010 after catching Tony Mowbray's eye at Brondby, but he wasn´t able to secure a regular place in the Hoops' first-team.

After three loan spells, at FSV Mainz, AaB and Sivasspor, Rasmussen made his move away from Celtic a permanent one.

"Everyone at Celtic Football Club thanks Morten for his contribution, and wishes him the best of luck for the rest of his career."
