Rapids keeper Sharpe: Waiving Cooke part of the business of MLS

Colorado Rapids goalkeeper Chris Sharpe says the decision to waive Terry Cooke is just part of soccer in MLS. Sharpe told tribalfootball.com: "As far as Cookie leaving us, this is the hard part of being involved in the MLS in that players can get waived when ever and left out to dry.

"It's a tough time of the year July, but all the players understand that the clubs make decisions and it could be anyone of the 24 players in the dressing room that get released. Cookie is a great guy and will be sorely missed around here, we have picked up Jamie Smith from Scotland, who comes in with a lot of experience in Europe and someone who looks like he will really contribute to our team.

"I personally just want to wish Cookie all the very best in the future and I look forward to seeing him very soon back on the pitch."
