Rapids keeper Sharpe convinced West Brom trialist Ream destined for bigger stage

MLS players aren't surprised by the transfer interest from England for New York Red Bulls defender Tim Ream.

Ream is currently training with West Bromwich Albion and is also set for trials at Bolton Wanderers.

Colorado Rapids goalkeeper Chris Sharpe, who had spells with Southampton and Chesterfield, told tribalfootball.com: "Tim has become a very well known player in the MLS. He is one of the very few ball playing center halves.

"He is big and strong and comfortable with the ball at his feet and he is very young. He has an excitement around him right now about his next move, I think he has the capabilities to do very well in England, and I am sure if he gets his chance he will grab it. From everything I have heard he is a very good pro and I am sure a move to England would be great for his development into a National Team centre half."
