Blackburn Rovers co-owner Balaji Rao insists they're serious about landing a big name signing.
Rovers were ridiculed by opposition fans when proposed moves for David Beckham and Ronaldinho failed to materialise.
But Rao said: "Yes we were trying to get Beckham, then we went lax on it as we were pursuing Ronaldinho. Nevertheless, I assure you we'll get a big name playing for us pretty soon.
"The first time we came as owners, the Rovers fans welcomed us so well. The feeling is overwhelming. It's something great."
