Rao reveals Blackburn on brink of big name signing
Blackburn Rovers owner Balaji Rao has revealed a "big-name" player is set to move to Ewood Park.
The club have already failed in ambitious bids to sign Ronaldinho and David Beckham this month, but Indian businessman Rao is continuing to aim high.
"We wanted Ronaldinho to come to the English Premier League but he did not want to come here," Rao told The Times of India.
"Yes, we were trying to get Beckham much earlier. Then we went lax on it as we were pursuing Ronaldinho. Nevertheless, I assure you we'll get a big name playing for us pretty soon."
