Inter Milan defender Andrea Ranocchia insists they can still mount a serious title challenge.

The Nerazzurri had a dismal start to the campaign, but have picked up two consecutive victories against Fiorentina and Genoa.

"The next games with Cesena and Lecce are very important for us. It will be crucial to win in order to give consistency to recent results and end the year on 26 points," Ranocchia told Sky Sport Italia.

"I believe it's possible. Inter can still win the Scudetto, but right now we have to focus on ending the year on a high, then in 2012 we have a long tour de force to take on.

"My first six months with the Nerazzurri have been wonderful. Of course, there have been some difficulties between injuries and the change of management. We lost a few too many games, but are working so hard to climb back up."
