Inter Milan chief Piero Ausilio says Andrea Ranocchia will be considered for the captaincy.

The defender is also set to be offered new terms.

"We have already talked and want to extend his contract to build an even stronger Inter. He can sign a new deal without problems," said Ausilio.

"Ranocchia is a serious candidate for the captain's armband, considering the number of appearances. He is Italian and has great values."
