Inverness Caley midfielder John Rankin is ready to quit the club in January.

The former Manchester United trainee said: "The manager has said I can go out on loan but I don't know if there is any point. I would probably just be in the same situation when I came back.

"I am not in Craig's plans as I have not started a game since he came in. It's disheartening when you are not playing.

"I have not spoken to the manager recently about it but I will just have to wait and see what happens around January."
