Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri believes Roy Keane has the managerial quality to keep Sunderland in the Premiership this season.

Ex-Chelsea manager Ranieri said: "It is important that the manager does his best to try and bring the best out of his players and I think Roy Keane has that quality.

"Maybe Keane and Sunderland will be the surprise of the season in the Premiership. I wish them well."

Ranieri also told the Sunday Sun: "He will try to get his team to play good football, which you need to do in the Premiership."
