Sacked Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri is still angry over the way he was dumped at the end of last season.
"Of course there was disappointment, because when you set objectives and the Coach goes beyond them, yet is still fired, it does leave a bitter taste in your mouth," he told Sky Italia.
"I did not expect it from a club like Juventus. Having said that, this is part of football."
Asked about Ciro Ferrara's achievement in clinching Champions League qualification for Juve, Ranieri rapped: "I think that even if there hadn't been anyone on the bench they still would've won.
"The last two games were already written. Anybody would have got the victories."
Ferrara was asked about the statements and replied with an ironic tone.
"He's absolutely right. I had promised to bring seven points and only got six, so I will try to do better next season," grinned the former defender. "I haven't spoken to Ranieri, anyway."
