Ranieri says Inter Milan go into CSKA Moscow clash with renewed confidence

Inter Milan coach Claudio Ranieri says they're ready for their Champions League clash with CSKA Moscow.

Ranieri beat Bologna 3-1 in his first game in charge on Saturday evening, making a clean break from the dismal run of predecessor Gian Piero Gasperini.

"Tomorrow's game is going to be tough, as all the Russian sides are difficult to beat. We will try not to make mistakes and to lull CSKA into making errors," said Ranieri in his Press conference.

"They are trying to win their tournament, are in good shape and believe in what they are doing. This is why I won't name individual players, as they all deserve respect."

This will be the third encounter between the clubs over the past five seasons, Inter winning both legs of the 2007-08 group phase and 2009-10 quarter-finals.

"I don't tend to watch games played in previous years, because things change so quickly. Every match is different and I have prepared for tomorrow's one.

"Against Bologna I tried to set out the team the way it was used to playing, as I cannot really do anything else in this phase. We only had two training sessions before that match, while injuries are also a problem, so I am trying to put champions back in their places."
