Ranieri satisfied as Leicester edge closer to title with draw at Man Utd

Claudio Ranieri was pleased with his Leicester City side following their 1-1 draw at Manchester United on Sunday.

Captain Wes Morgan headed home an equaliser in the 17th minute after Anthony Martial's earlier opener as the Foxes moved eight points clear of second-placed Tottenham, and another step closer to the Premier League title.

Regarding the display at Old Trafford, Ranieri admitted he was happy with how things panned out after a very tardy beginning from his title-chasing players, as he sets his sights on next weekend's home clash with Everton.

"The performance was good, after the first 15 minutes," said Ranieri.

"Before our goal we were a little scared. United started very well, and as a big team move the ball very well.

"It was very difficult for us to restart and make something good.

"It was important to show our character and our mentality. I'm very satisfied with our performance.

"I'm so happy because we drew the match against an amazing Man Utd. Without Vardy it was difficult for us to stretch the defensive line. But I was pleased with the performance.

"I want to win. It's not important when, believe me. In my mind Tottenham will win all three matches. My mind is now on Everton."
