Ranieri opens talks with West Brom

Claudio Ranieri has held talks with West Bromwich Albion over the manager's job.

The London Evening Standard says the former Chelsea boss, who became a fans' favourite during his four-year reign at Stamford Bridge between 2000 and 2004, has met with West Brom's sporting and technical director Dan Ashworth.

The midlands club are looking for a new manager to take over at the end of the season after Roy Hodgson signed a four-year deal with the national team.
