Claudio Ranieri is one game away from the sack at Inter Milan. Mediaset says a furious president Massimo Moratti refused to speak with Ranieri after defeat to Bologna - for fear he would let his emotions run away from him!

Instead, Moratti's No2 Marco Branca spoke with Ranieri on Saturday night after the game.

Branca also made contact with Ranieri's agent, Beppe Bozzo, and informed him that a heavy defeat to Champions League rivals Olympique Marseille this week would result in instant dismissal.

A caretaker team has already been drawn up - Beppe Baresi would takeover from Ranieri, assisted by Luis Figo. A return to the club of Marco Materazzi in a coaching capacity is also now being discussed.
