Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri believes that striker Jamie Vardy can emulate Fiorentina great Gabriel Batistuta.
Vardy scored in the 3-0 win against Newcastle United on Saturday to equal Ruud Van Nistelrooy's record of scoring in ten consecutive Premier League games.
Batistuta scored 11 goals in a row during Ranieri's spell at the Serie A club.
Ranieri said: "Batistuta scored 11 goals in a row for me at Fiorentina - that is the best run by any player I have managed.
"Vardy can achieve and beat this. It is amazing we are mentioning him in the same breath, so strange when four years ago he was playing non-League."
