Claudio Ranieri has revealed that Gokhan Inler is content at Leicester City despite the lack of first team football coming his way.
Inler joined Leicester from Napoli during the summer and it was expected that the Swiss international would be an integral part of the Foxes side.
As it has turned out though, Inler has struggled for regular minutes on the pitch due to Leicester's fine form and there were talks that the 31-year-old could be set for a swift return to Italy during the January transfer window.
However, manager Ranieri has gone on to speak regarding the speculation and has stated that Inler understands why he is not being selected at the moment.
Ranieri said: "He's happy.
"Of course, I don't want players who are on the bench who are happy – they're crazy.
"Of course but he understands the team is going very well. Why I have to change? Yes, I am Tinkerman but I am not stupid!"
