AS Roma coach Claudio Ranieri was delighted with the manner of their derby victory over Lazio on Sunday.
Ranieri was especially pleased with the unity shown by his players.
He said: "You need a method and a desire to build something. The season is long. I have always said it and continue to do so.
"The objective is always to do better with tenacity, consistency and dedication on the behalf of everyone.
"On Sunday I saw two important teams in this League face each other. The 'episodes' aren't important.
"I saw our beautiful match against the League leaders. I am proud of my boys' showing.
"Seeing Daniele De Rossi go running under the Curva Sud, his teammates with him after a real football battle on the pitch; seeing the team run towards Adriano after the goal and seeing our fans happy are feelings that remain with you.
"Roma are a team. We are a team. We have built this victory with grit, determination and good football. Every individual was at the group's service.
