Ranieri admits Roma are in crisis

AS Roma coach Claudio Ranieri admits they're in crisis.

The Giallorossi are yet to win this season and face Chievo Verona tonight.

"There has been an emergency for some time," Ranieri said. "We know that it will be struggle in Brescia and that it will be hard. We expect a difficult game, but we are prepared for it.

"We are trying to get out of this situation, which we don't like.

"We wanted to do well from the beginning but we haven't managed to do it.

"Roma are compact and we are working to come out of this crisis. The true Roma fans understand. They have clapped us at the Olimpico. The draw against Bologna burns us terribly, but we want to get back up again. There isn't physical tiredness. Just like last year, Spalletti had coached the team well.

"The motivational aspect is fundamental. It's the head that isn't working. The lads are worried and this creates problems. We had seven great months then there was the World Cup and the holidays. The team will rise again. I decided to stay at Roma even knowing that it would be difficult. The more difficult things are, the more I put my heart and passion into something."
