Ralf Rangnick has held talks with West Bromwich Albion.

The Sun says ex-Schalke boss Rangnick impressed in an interview last week and has moved ahead of Claudio Ranieri and Ray Wilkins in the pecking order.

However, Birmingham City manager Chris Hughton remains favourite for the job.
