Ralf Rangnick may have been too slow in accepting terms for West Bromwich Albion.
The Baggies could name former Liverpool coach Steve Clarke new manager today, according to reports.
Rangnick, who has held several meetings with Albion since Roy Hodgson left to become England manager, has promised a decision on his future is imminent.
Rangnick's agent, Oliver Mintzlaff, said: "West Bromwich Albion gave us time for consideration. An offer was made and we will meet up this week for a final decision."
