RB Leipzig chief Ralf Rangnick concedes they face a battle to keep hold of Dayot Upamecano.
The young France international has been linked with Manchester United, Liverpool and Barcelona this season.
Rangnick concedes: "I said two years ago that Dayot can someday play at every top club in the world.
"If a big club with a salary of ten to twelve million euros makes an offer and the player wants to get away, there's little we can do."
But he adds: "I have great hope with Dayot that he will stay with us for a few more years. He, his advisers and parents have always made good and right choices."
Just last week, Upamecano acknowledged the interest of United.
"The interest of the big clubs honours me, of course," said Upamecano.
"But for now, only I only think of RB Leipzig. Here, I have to work hard to be a starter and to reach more goals later."
